In Stapagil (Stone Canyon) you will have the chance to work on all varieties of stones, differing in origin, feature, size and shape. The journey will start with an introduction at 10 am in Samkomuhúsið (the community house) in the beautiful village of Arnarstapi, the to the statue of Bárður Snæfellsás where you will hear tales of a local saga. Your stone carving journey will then continue to Stapagil Canyon where you will be taught how to carve stones by a true master of the art. The tour will then return to Samkomuhúsið to show, with pride, the carving inspiration you recieved from Stapagil and the glacier above.
