THE HIKE
It´s time for Go West´s Annual Summer Solstice Midnight Snæfellsjökull Summit Hike. This is our 10th year organizing this Incredible Solstice Celebration. We meet at 18:30 in beautiful Arnarstapi, where we get to know each other and have a short safety introduction. At 20:00 we drive up to Jökulháls (500m) to begin our hike. The upwards hike will take an estimated 4-5 hours to the summit and then 2-3 hours hiking back down. Be prepared for Incredible sunset views and an overwhelming feeling of accomplishment. We Organize this Solstice hike because we literally cannot think of anywhere more spectacular to be on this night.

The Experience
Go West´s 10th annual Summer Solstice Snæfellsjökull glacier summit hike. Join us hiking, on the most magical night of the year, to the summit of this legendary glacier/volcano duo. This is truly a unique experience that should not be missed.
As part of this special event, 10% of your tour cost will be donated to the local rescue team

Included
- All required glacier gear which includes Climbing harness, Crampons, Ice axe, Hiking sticks, Safety line.
- Guided in English and Scandinavian.
- Short drive to Snæfellsjökull trail start
- Contribution to the local rescue team (10% of your booking fee)
Excluded
- Sturdy hiking boots - can be rented at 1.500 ISK but please ask us when you book to ensure we have your size!
- Appropriate warm clothing, wet weather clothing
- Food and water

- We do not operate Transport to and from Arnarstapi but we may be able to help you find a transfer service.
All Tours Prices include 11% VAT and Contribution to Icelandic forestry and landcare through the Kolviður Iceland Carbon Fund.
